International Conference - Renewable Energy in Angola 2022
ALER - Lusophone Renewable Energy Association and ASAER - Angolan Renewable Energy Association , in partnership with MINEA - Ministry of Energy and Water of Angola and with the support of GET.invest, a European programme which aims to mobilise investment in decentralised renewable energy, supported by the European Union, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and Austria, organized an International Conference on the 5th and 6th of July 2022, in Luanda dedicated to the promotion of renewable energy in Angola.
In parallel, and as a complement to the conference, a Trade Mission was also organized on the 4th and 7th of July.
The program of the Conference is available here and the event had the participation of 3 ministers and key stakeholders at the national level with more than 300 participants, from both the public and private sectors, who had the opportunity to have first-hand access to information on new developments and business opportunities, as well as personally meet key stakeholders and find partners.
During the event, the Renewables in Angola – National Status Report 2022 was also presented and it is the most comprehensive and updated report on the state of play of renewable energy in Angola, allowing an overview of the latest and future developments in this sector. The document includes information on the regulatory framework, resources, projects and financing of renewable energies, among others
