'Private Sector Involvement in Renewable Energy in Cape Verde: Opportunities and challenges' Workshop

ALER’s event will consist in a workshop under the motto "Private Sector Involvement in Renewable Energy in Cape Verde: Opportunities and challenges".

This event, organized in partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Sotavento (CCISS) will be integrated into a full program of workshops under the theme “Environment and Renewable Energies”.

In the first place, this workshop aims to present ALER’ recent initiatives to dynamise the renewable energy sector:  online publication database LERenováveis and ALER Contacts’ Directory, an online platform that gathers an exhaustive list of all entities, public or private, who are active in the renewable energy sector in Portuguese-speaking countries.

 
Secondly, the main objective of the workshop is to present the results of an investigation developed by ALER on the prospects for the development of renewables in Cape Verde. Representatives of the most relevant actors will subsequently discuss and enrich these results. Special attention will be given to how to promote private sector involvement.
