Ana Sanches, from Sabugal, has a degree and a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Aveiro.
In 2008 she started to collaborate with ADPM, a Local Development Association that is also a NGDO, having participated in several local projects in the areas of Environmental Education, Agriculture and Promotion of Local Resources.
In 2011, linked to the same NGDO, she begun her journey in Development Cooperation projects in an Environmental Education and Childhood Support project in Cape Verde and, later, in São Tomé e Príncipe and Mozambique.
She currently coordinates and participates in several international projects in Cape Verde and Mozambique, in the areas of Renewable Energies, Sustainable Agriculture, Community Development, Sustainable Tourism, among others.
Kenedy Olavo dos Santos, 26 years old, born in Ribeira Grande de Santo Antão, Cape Verde.
Has a degree in Engineering in Renewable Energies from the University of Mindelo and is a Technician Inspector of Microproduction System based on Renewable Energies.
Participated in several renewable energy projects in Cape Verde, and worked as an intern at the Electric company, where he has professional experience in various wind and photovoltaic technologies, also Senior Technician of the Association of Municipalities of Santo Antão - AMSA.
Since 2019, he has been a member of the Department of Renewable Energies at companies in Ponta Preta – APP, working in the areas of design, implementation and management of several photovoltaic solar plants on the islands of Santo Antão, São Nicolau and Sal.
Has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Coimbra and an MBA from Blekinge Tekniske Hogskola (Sweden), he has ten years of experience in the field of renewable energies.
In-depth knowledgeacquired in the implementation of different types of projects, from wind energy to photovoltaic solar energy.
Experience in industrial design, product innovation, logistics and project management implemented in several countries.
He is currently performing the functions of Energy Sector Manager at TESE, and at the Ianda Guiné! – Lus ku Iagu, which, among others, contemplates the installation of a photovoltaic powerplant on the island of Bolama, with the respective electrical network and management model.
Genabu Mané was born in Guinea-Bissau in 1987 and has a degree in International Relations in the Kingdom of Morocco.
In 2012 she started working at FRES-GB, having worked as Executive Secretary, in the Billing Department, as a Communication and External Relations, in the Logistics Department and, nowadays, workes in the Marketing and Sales Department.
Environmental Engineer, with a master's degree in Environmental Management and Systems, having worked as a scientific researcher and as an environmental and social impact consultant in renewable energy projects.
He is a project manager at ALER and responsible for the development and promotion of renewable energy initiatives in Portuguese-speaking African countries, specifically in São Tomé and Príncipe, Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau.
Isabel Cancela de Abreu is an Environmental Engineer with an Executive Master on Sustainable Energy Systems.Her experience in renewable energies started at APREN, the Portuguese Renewable Energy Association, where she was Director of the Technical Department.
Isabel was afterwards invited to work as Policy Adviser at EREC, the European Renewable Energy Council.
Later on, she decided to take advantage of her national and international experience to found ALER, the Lusophone Renewable Energy Association, where she now works as Executive Director.
In addition, Isabel was also a social volunteer in Niassa - Mozambique, and did an internship at Grameen Shakti in Bangladesh to learn about their microcredit and Solar Home Systems programs.
