Webinar 'The new regulation for energy access in off-grid areas in Mozambique'
Aware of the importance of the Publication of the regulation for energy access in off-grid areas in Mozambique on December 10th 2021, ALER and AMER, in partnership with ARENE and FUNAE and with the support of GET.invest Mozambique - funded by the European Union and Germany, and part of the European programme GET.invest - organised a webinar that took place on February 24th for the presentation and discussion of the impacts of this long-awaited document in particular in the mini-grid and solar home systems market segments.
This event, was an opportunity for a debate between the public and private sector to clarify the opportunities and possible issues raised by the regulation.
The presentation of the new regulation, the opportunities it presents for the private sector and a summary of all the projects and support programmes that will benefit from this regulatory framework were discussed. In addition, the session had a panel discussion between the public and private sector, which goal was to clarify the opportunities and possible issues raised by the regulation.
