ALER and AMER present and analyse the new mini-grid regulations in Mozambique
ALER, in partnership with the Mozambican Renewable Energy Association (AMER), held on 28 June a debate with its members to analyse the new regulations for mini-grids in Mozambique.
This debate follows the already established Working Group between both associations, which are collaborating in the analysis, preparation and dissemination of a summary of the new regime and a mini-grid roadmap.
These documents will then be shared with their Members in order to facilitate the implementation of this new regime and to promote mini-grid projects in Mozambique.
The new mini-grid regulations are:
- Regulation for the Granting of Concessions for Mini-grids and model of the respective Concession Contract (access here).
- Tariff Regulation for Mini-grids (access here)
- Regulation on the Interconnection of Mini-grids and model of the contract for the purchase and sale of electricity for Mini-grids under the interconnection regime (access here)
- Technical and Safety Standards Regulation (access here)
- Regulation on Quality of Service and Commercial Relations (access here)
Also in this context, ALER and AMER organised on June 28th a debate on the main key points of these regulations, in which their members participated.
