The implementation of a photovoltaic system allowed constant access to energy, which is essential to the good performance of the services of this public administration. In addition, this project generated a reduction in energy costs, by around 80%, and made possible a meeting room with energy and internet access during 24h/day, which is available for the General Directorate, but also for several other entities that may need it.
These case studies were presented in the webinar “Reference Case Studies in Renewable Energies - São Tomé and Príncipe, Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde”, organised by ALER in partnership with the Directorate General for Natural Resources and Energy (DGRNE) from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Natural Resources (MIRN), and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), which took place on March 9th.
