AFSIA and Startup | Energy launched the 2nd edition of the Energy Camp Africa
AFSIA, ALER’s partner, and Startup | Energy launched the 2nd edition of the Energy Camp Africa programme and, unlike the first edition, this year the team's applications are open to energy startups from all over the African continent. The aim is to support a product or business idea and/or a first prototype for the decentralised renewable energy sector in sub-Saharan Africa.
Energy Camp Africa will take place from April 4th to 6th and the eligible sectors of activity include:
- Production from renewable energy sources
- Smart Living, for example energy for health, education, water, sanitation, consumption, mobility, agriculture
- Energy-efficient products and services
- Financing solutions
- Resilience Engineering
- Storage systems
- Energy distribution
- Measuring and control systems
The selected candidates to participate in the Energy Camp will receive an individual coaching by experienced entrepreneurs, will take part in the workshop in Kampala or Nairobi and will take part in the final Startup|Energy Award. The winner will receive a prize of 5,000 euros for the further development of his product.
