ALER at the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue
ALER's Executive Director, Isabel Cancela de Abreu, visited Berlin to take part in the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2024 (BETD.24). The conference, which took place on 19th and 20th March, focused on debating strategies to achieve a tripling of the world's renewable energy capacity.
Under the motto "Accelerating the Global Energy Transition", ministers and high-ranking delegations from over 75 countries engaged in discussions with representatives of business, science, and civil society. As well as measures to implement the COP28 objective of tripling renewable energy installation capacity, the event emphasized the financing and infrastructure needed to achieve this goal.
Besides BETD.24, Isabel Cancela de Abreu also attended the "Diversifying key value chains towards a low-carbon economy - Opportunities for Brazil-Germany partnerships" event, the celebration of REN21's 20th anniversary and the Women for the Energy Transition lunch.
ALER's participation in this type of event reinforces the Association's position in the sector and contributes to the development and strengthening of partnerships.
