ALER present at the launch of the publication "Energia em Números" on World Energy Day

This morning, on World Energy Day, ALER's Executive Director, Isabel Cancela de Abreu, attended the launch of the 6th edition of "Energia em Números" [Energy in Figures] by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG), the Energy Observatory and the Energy Agency (ADENE). This is an annual publication that brings together the most relevant data from the energy sector in Portugal.

The session took place on board an electric boat and included a glance at the publication's chapters; the presentation of the main indicators in the document; and a debate on the ‘Energy Transition in Portugal’, which discussed the state of the sector in the country, the tools and the priorities to ensure a swift and effective energy transition.

Moreover, the Secretary of State for Energy, Maria João Pereira, also attended the event and emphasized the importance of the publication for political decision-makers, especially when it comes to implementing public policies for the desired energy transition.

"Energia em Números" [Energy in Figures] covers the following thematic areas: Energy Indicators, Energy Balance, Energy Bill, Domestic Production and Transformation, Consumption, Prices, Electricity and Natural Gas Markets and Energy Efficiency. This is a publication that has become a benchmark for promoting energy literacy.
