ALER takes part in different sector events
On 14th March, ALER took part in different events in the sector: the 5th Anniversary Conference of the Fund for Sustainable Access to Renewable Energies (FASER) in Maputo; the virtual meeting of the Africa-Europe Foundation Strategy Group on Energy; and the Digital with Purpose Movement (DwP) workshop in Lisbon.
Promoted by the Foundation for Community Development (FDC) and German Cooperation (GIZ), through the Energising Development Programme (EnDev), the 5th Anniversary Conference of the Fund for Sustainable Access to Renewable Energies (FASER) focused on presenting the results achieved during the 5 years of the fund's implementation and was attended by state and government institutions from Mozambique's energy sector, donors, the private sector and beneficiary families.
The virtual meeting of the Africa-Europe Foundation Strategy Group on Energy brought together well-known experts from different organizational backgrounds (civil society, private sector, policymaking) for the biannual sectoral assessment of the strategy group's actions and commitments; and to identify opportunities for cooperation between Africa and Europe. Topics underlying the energy sector were explored; as well as the synergies and complementarities of each continent's strategies and priorities; and the main areas and activities that should support cooperation between the two continents.
The DwP Movement aims to achieve a more sustainable and inclusive world through the promotion, development, and implementation of technology and digital solutions. The workshop, under the GeSI - Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative umbrella, took place at the Vieira de Almeida Advogados (ALER Partner) Auditorium and brought together national Members and Partners. The event aimed to present the Movement's various action; mobilize Partners for ongoing DwP initiatives and discuss new opportunities for collaboration; and share Members' experiences about how DwP has contributed to their sustainability strategy and results.
ALER's participation in this type of action reinforces the Association's position in the sector and contributes to developing and strengthening partnerships.
