Climate Investment Fund approves $ 500 million financing for environmental projects
The Climate Investment Fund has approved a $ 500 million credit line to finance projects for the implementation and development of renewable energy sources.
Projects can range from the transition to renewables; improving resistance to climate change; stabilize the electricity networks; create new power stations; and even investment opportunities in projects for electric transports.
This fund is managed by the portuguese Mafalda Duarte and currently totals around 6.9 million euros, invested by 13 countries, with the largest investors being the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan.
