FCUL joins ALER and provides thesis to LERenováveis platform
The Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon has recently joined ALER and shared academic works related to off-grid projects, some of them focused on the African continent.
The Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL) is a science and technology higher education school with a century of history. It was the first school in Portugal to offer a course in Energy and Environment Engineering, with special emphasis on renewable energies and energy efficiency.
The Department of Geographic Engineering, Geophysics and Energy (DEGGE) is the department at FCUL that combines scientific and pedagogic competencies in the areas of Renewable Energies/Energy Efficiency, Geophysics and Geospatial Information. It is consolidated into a set of training courses of a vocational nature with profiles associated to the engineering area that aims to train design engineers to have the capacity to solve complex problems that involve environmental problems and natural resources management which are of paramount importance in the 21st century.
