EDP - Energias de Portugal S.A., of which EDP Renováveis (ALER's Member) is a subsidiary, has just launched the 6th edition of the Access to Energy Fund (A2E CSR Fund)through which it selects and finances the best projects for access to renewable energy in communities in African countries. The application period runs until 29th May 2024.

This edition has an endowment of 1 million euros to invest in sustainable and clean energy projects that contribute to a just and inclusive transition in communities in the most isolated and vulnerable regions.

Pojects will be supported in Mozambique, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria and Rwanda, in the following areas of activity: education, health, water, business and community.

Organizations may apply for co-funding from 50.000 euros to 150.000 euros, covering up to 75% of the project costs of non-profit entities and up to 50% of the project costs of for-profit entities.
